During her time at BENSLEY, Nikita learned the power of storytelling, and how to express it through the finest details - be it styling, art, signage, and even tableware.
At Capella Hanoi, the narrative drew from the nearby Opera House. The design concept asked: What if this hotel had existed in the 1900s, as a favourite rendezvous spot for the era’s greatest artists, actors, singers, and set designers? To bring this dream to life, Nikita developed a full narrative, enriching both the interiors and the guest experience.
She selected 47 characters - one for each room - such as Eleonora Duse, Léon Bakst, or Mistinguett, and then designed bespoke artwork using original opera memorabilia to tell their stories. She also curated guest touchpoints such as Sarah Bernhardt’s Opera Cake, custom games, playful menus and even interior styling with vintage costumes: weaving opera into every detail.
